EBU appoints new Director Network & News Graham Warren

 

Following an international search, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU)* announced the appointment of Graham Warren** as Director of Network & News, starting on 1 March 2011.
“Mr Warren is a high-calibre professional who will be a great asset to the EBU. His wide ranging experience will serve all the EBU’s Members and customers, and help us provide the services they need in today’s fast-changing media environment,”
said the EBU Director General, Ingrid Deltenre.

Graham has worked in the media and broadcast area for over 30 years where he has specialised in the development, deployment and operation of satellite and terrestrial networks.

**Biography Graham Warren
After completing BSc and PhD degrees focusing on the communications aspects of electronic engineering Graham Warren worked at BT where he became the Chief Technology Officer in the Broadcast Services division developing innovative network solutions for customers.
Graham then joined Kingston Communications as the Network Development and Design Director before assuming the role of Engineering Director. He was responsible for the operation and development of all aspects of the network, including an early IPTV service.
More recently Graham has worked for Ofcom, the UK media and telecommunications regulator, as Head of Broadcast Technical Policy, and finally as the Director of Network Technology where he was involved in a wide variety of projects, including the release of Digital Dividend spectrum for new services.
