Canada's Dome Productions acquires TV2GO satellite truck

Toronto, October 2014: Dome Productions, one of North America’s leading production facilities providers, announced the acquisition of TV2GO’s Ku/C-band satellite truck, a leading-edge mobile production vehicle.

“As our production volume continues to grow, we had a specific need for an uplink truck with production capability in addition to the three Ku band uplink tractors we already operate,” said Mary Ellen Carlyle, Senior Vice-President and General Manager, Dome Productions. “With both C-band and Ku capacities along with the real estate and production capabilities necessary to carry out a
small production, the acquisition of a TV2GO truck is in line with our company’s strategy and objectives.”

Dome Productions and TV2GO have agreed to collaborate, wherever possible, on future projects that will combine TV2GO’s international distribution expertise with Dome Productions’ unparalleled reputation in mobile production and distribution services.

“Dome Productions was TV2GO’s #1 customer last year, and that was derived mainly from teleport services rather than mobile operations,” said Carol Patterson, President, TV2GO. “For us, the main motivation for selling is to boostthe level of synergy between our two companies.”

TV2GO will now shift its focus to expanding its teleport transmission facilities with an emphasis on Latin America and the 2015 Pan-Am Games while Dome is preparing for a very busy winter season.
